This vintage photograph presented a challenge to our designers. We were asked to create a frame design that would complement a contemporary environment, which required us to think beyond the style. The biggest challenge was to incorporate a photograph that had gold tones into a room with silver based accessories and maintain continuity. The variation of color in the burlwood frames made it possible to work our way out gracefully. The flat straight lines make it feel more contemporary The sunken inner frame had more gold tones mixed with silver. For the outer frame we stacked the same style burlwood frame, only larger, with a brushed nickel. Three mats and three frames later our client was ecstatic with her vintage photo with a contemporary flare.
